The Künstlerhaus Götz invites artists to take part in the design of the entrance gate.
We are looking for an artist who can artistically bring the front and back of the current entrance gate to life.
Any artistic direction can apply. However, it would make sense to incorporate the 2D material/metal properties of the gate into the concept to ensure longevity. “Sanding” or partially sanding off the old layers of paint is recommended.
A single requirement is to incorporate the number “59” into the design in a visible way so that it is easy to find for postal delivery and visitors to the Kunsthaus.
The entrance gate is made of painted metal plates and is approximately 282 cm wide and 172 cm high. It is located on Götzer Dorfstrasse, directly opposite the Götzer Church, and is therefore often seen by visitors to the church, resident artists and village residents passing by. The gate opens inwards, towards the courtyard.
The Künstlerhaus Götz is a residential building where artists live and work. A special feature of the house is our commitment to self-sufficiency, growing vegetables and fruit and keeping livestock (dairy goats, bees and chickens). These topics are welcome to be included in the design, but it is not a requirement.
A flat-rate compensation of €500 will be paid to the selected artist after the project has been successfully implemented. The project will also be published on the Internet.
